Force dAmn XPCOM

About the script:

I don't know about you, but I've had just about enough of this:

Plugin: 'Flash' [ Loaded ]
Plugin: 'Flash' [ Initialized ]
Opening connection to: 'chat.deviantart.com'

and nothing else happening when I try to use the dAmn client. It ESPECIALLY annoys me when I know good and well I have dAmn XPCOM, and have it enabled, but instead dAmn uses Flash and I have to refresh <abbr title="over 9000">a million</abbr> times for it to actually connect.

Well, if you DO have XPCOM and you have to suffer from this infuriating bug, you don't have to worry about that anymore! This Greasemonkey script checks if XPCOM is available, and if it is, it uses it to connect to dAmn, log in, and everything else. No more of dAmn XPCOM rarely being used.


To install:

1. Download Greasemonkey and restart your browser.


2. Go to this page and click the green "Install" button.

Known bugs:

Sometimes this disconnects and reconnects once or twice, I'm still trying to figure out what's going on.

NOTICE: The chat plugin does not work with FF 3.5. Wait for those lazy bastards at deviousTech to fix it, or do what `electricjonny said in the comments below.
