About the script:
I don't know about you, but I've had just about enough of this:
and nothing else happening when I try to use the dAmn client. It ESPECIALLY annoys me when I know good and well I have dAmn XPCOM, and have it enabled, but instead dAmn uses Flash and I have to refresh a million times for it to actually connect. Well, if you DO have XPCOM and you have to suffer from this infuriating bug, you don't have to worry about that anymore! This Greasemonkey script checks if XPCOM is available, and if it is, it uses it to connect to dAmn, log in, and everything else. No more of dAmn XPCOM rarely being used. To install:
Known bugs: Sometimes this disconnects and reconnects once or twice, I'm still trying to figure out what's going on. NOTICE: The chat plugin does not work with FF 3.5. Wait for those lazy bastards at deviousTech to fix it, or do what `electricjonny said in the comments below. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. Unable to find a suitable connection method. Try connecting with Mozilla Firefox and the deviantART chat extension installed.
I have everything updated an enabled, and the chat plugin doesn't work with ff 3.5

But, you can modify the install.rdf file on the extension to make it work. Just save the extension to your hard drive, open it with a zip program, then change this line to this:
(It will be<em:maxVersion>3.0.*</em:maxVersion>by default)Then save the file and drag it back into the zip program to update it, and drag damnxpcom.xpi back into Firefox, and it should install and work.
